Well almost into week 37 of this pregnancy and we are so excited! We had a doctor's appointment a few days ago. We had an ultrasound to check fluid levels and everything looks great. Dr. Whittaker (who we absolutely love) took some measurements and everything was measuring right on track......except his head. His head measured at 38 weeks! 1.5 weeks ahead of everything else. Dr. Whittaker pointed to Dylan and said "This is YOUR fault!" We all had a good laugh about that. She gave us some estimations. If I go to term then she estimates this little guy will be 8-8.5 pounds! She said it's hard to tell though because his head size is throwing off her guesstimating charts. We are just so excited for this boy to get here! The young women in our ward have a poll going to guess how much he weighs. He has been moving a lot still, not as much as before but there isn't as much room in there anymore. I'm still going to the gym 2x a week with Dylan. I thought I was done....but still feeling great so I've kept going, just taking it easier. Dylan told me it would be the most embarrassing thing for him if my water broke in the gym (I'm pretty sure it would be more embarrassing for me!), so is always cautioning me, but still very supportive.
I was looking through some pictures and found some bump pictures I wanted to share! It's crazy to see the progression.
Also, I know we've had a long time to get use to the fact, but it's just kind of hitting me that in a few weeks Dylan and I will have a child and we will be responsible for his wellbeing and upbringing and he will be with us all the time. I have tons of experience and exposure to children of all ages, but obviously never one of my own before! While I am still super excited and not worried at all, I'm starting to get butterflies in my stomach.

34 weeks. Dylan snapped this one in the doctor's office. I knew I was getting big but seeing this I realized I'm huge. I've accepted it and learned to love it, but am so grateful it's not my permanent size..... |

Atticus loves to cuddle with my belly. He is so gentle with it! |

36.5 weeks! |
It's only been a few days since that last one, yet I swear this belly has doubled in size! It is so bizarre yet so wonderful to be pregnant. We feel so blessed to have this precious baby as part of our lives already and can't wait to hold him in our arms!
Eek!! You are so beautiful!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove all of these pictures!!! And I swear you expand like crazy in those last couple weeks. Haha. Hopefully your little guys' head doesn't get any bigger! Daisy was 8lbs 11oz...it's amazing how much extra room our torsos find for housing these crazy babies :) I'm so excited for you!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso the photo of you at the gym might be one of my favorite things ever. Totally makes me want to go to the gym next time I am with child!
