June

June went by so fast. Here are a few pictures of our general days in June!

Went to the Union Rodeo Parade. The kids got SO MUCH candy. Hendrix got these sunglasses. He was pretty content with just his one sucker and some cool shades. Also it was a nice cool day in the middle of the incredible heat that we were having!

Stopped by Great Grandma and Grandpa's after the parade. G.Grandpa pulled out a banjo for Hendrix to play, and told him when he is a little older he can take it home and keep it :)

Eloise loves G.Grandpa!

I got a flat of raspberries and they were so incredibly yummy. I frequently found Hendrix up at the table just helping himself!

I made raspberry scones the next morning....I might have overdone it on the raspberries!

I canned the raspberries whole in some very light syrup (so easy!!) and we've been eating them on yogurt, ice cream, and cheesecake. I think I probably need to can 3x as much next year!

Louie loves to gum frozen fruit and makes the sweetest little faces.

Hendrix becomes more and more independent every day. He likes to wash his hair by himself. Look at those ribs sticking out

Aunt Carly went to an Usborne convention and brought back a shirt for Hendrix. It's pretty big on him right now, but he loves it. He keeps saying "it soft" and wouldn't take it off. He was pretty excited about his new shirt!

Yogurt and raspberries and granola!

Hendrix randomly climbed up on the couch, pulled a blanket over himself, and asked for a book and a tractor. He laid there and read for 20 minutes while I worked. Melts my heart!
I inherited this vanity from my Dad's mom. It currently sits in my bedroom closet (the doors are removed) and I really like having my own space to do my hair and make-up. However, it is also one of Hendrix's favorite spaces, so actually he sits there and plays with all my things while I stand behind him and get ready for the day ;)

It has been SO HOT and Hendrix kept standing in Atticus's water dish. I felt bad for the continued scoldings, when I'm sure he was just trying to stay cool, so we went and got him a little pool. He is in heaven!! When we got home (it's almost bedtime at this point) he immediately ran into the backyard and shed all his clothes.

Hendrix was playing in the pool the next day but it was too hot for Lou and me so we sat and watched him through the slider window and hung out. When Hendrix was done he came and sat by Louie and they chatted and watched the birds out of the window while enjoying some frozen fruit and a popsicle!
Mr. Potato Head glasses are a requirement for working, obviously.

Hendrix keeping Lou and me company in the mothers lounge at church, and Lou taking a break to photobomb!

Also look at these cute little toes.
Hendrix really badly wanted Dylan to play in the pool with him. Lou and I were taking advantage of the tiny sliver of shade that had made its way into the yard. Dylan and Hendrix were still in regular clothes, but somehow Hendrix convinced Dylan to get in! That pool sure gets small fast when Dylan is in it.....

Dad embroidered a jacket for Hendrix! It was 95 degrees when I brought it home, but Hendrix immediately put it on and put the hood on and off about a dozen times and asked to go outside. He did not want to take it off, even though he was going to get heat stroke!

I'm nursing Lou and Hendrix was eating some crackers and watching Wild Krats. He says "Hey Mom. Watch This." and lifted up his cracker and started shooting. He even got some dual wielding going on. He was cracking me up!

Eloise is really sturdy and really great at getting around. We put the kids in the pool together and they played great! I love that they love each other so much. Hendrix thought it was really silly to pour water on Lou's head, and she was a good sport about it.

The next morning Hendrix went outside, took off his shirt, opened his chair by himself, put it in the (empty) pool, sat down, and asked for crackers. It was still kind of chilly but he didn't care. Atticus decided to keep him some company. They sat in that pool for probably 20 minutes, eating crackers and drinking smoothie. Once the sun finally got into our yard and it was warming up, Hendrix was on to his next adventure!
