December + January

What.a.whirlwind!!

December:
• Hendrix is a natural in the kitchen
• Dylan officially started working for Edward Jones. 45-60 hours of studying a week.
• Moved out of our La Grande home and in with Nana and Papa for a few weeks
• LOTS of snow :)
• Christmas with the family + New Years party with the Carlsons

January:
• I promoted to Team Leader with Usborne Books & More
• Hendrix getting curious about potty training
• More snow
• Keith (my little brother) got engaged!!!
• Signed papers and officially sold our home

working in the garage with Dad!
(All of this needs to be packed up in a few weeks......)

Uncle Keith got us a new game for Christmas. We didn't wait to play it!

Making banana bread, Dad's favorite! Hendrix was SO helpful
(and also ate a TON of the bananas........even after they were complete mush...)

Chicken Noodle Soup for dinner!

Hendrix LOVES this fire engine. It's a boys only club though! He frequently has pulled Dad into his fort and shoves books in his hands. They sit together and read and it completely melts my heart.

While packing the garage Hendrix found his helmet. He LOVES this thing. He insisted on wearing it FOR DAYS. Literally he would wake up, go find it, and bring it to us to buckle for him. We had to fight to take it off for naps!

put it on all by himself!

These boys are best buds

Admiring Aunt Carly's Christmas tree!

Trying to learn about being reverent....and bribing with snacks.
(To be fair, we had to wake him up from his nap to go to church and he hadn't eaten lunch yet!)

Breakfast scramble!

A body slam happened right after this picture.....

Dylan was working in the kitchen and Hendrix started spanking his bum (I have no idea where he has seen that before I swear...... ;) and then just grabbed Dylan's pockets and started swinging. It was hilarious! He swung for so long! We were all dying laughing.

Boys cuddle time

Us girls were cuddling too!

Building Papa's new work chair

Helping Nana add more ornaments to the tree

Dylan decided to shave his face the day before his first day of work. He shaved it
down to the skin! I haven't seen that baby face for a long time. Isn't he handsome??
I'm not going to lie, I missed the beard! I'm happy to have it back :)

Last Sunday in our La Grande ward!

I had a doctors appt really early in the morning and dropped Hendrix off at my friend's house so she could watch him. We got to her house before she got home (her daughter has piano lessons before school and she wasn't back from dropping her off yet) so Hendrix got to "drive" for a bit. He loves all the buttons!!

Got the okay from the doctor to start working out (to be honest I could/should have
started way earlier. I seriously didn't feel like I just had a baby!) Hendrix is a
yoga master. You should see his downward dog!

We finally had enough snow to have some fun in. Hendrix and I bundled up while Lou slept and went out and played! He had a really difficult time walking at first (the combination of the extra layers and snow is a hard one!) but soon figured it out. He would have stayed out there all day. He was so upset when we had to go inside! I love my little adventurer.

William, Keith, and Keith's girlfriend (now fiancee ;) Courtney, plus 2 friends from Washington, were driving home for Christmas. They got in a car accident (nothing major!) and it ruined the alignment of the axel and ended up totaling the car! The kids had to wait for my parents to come pick them up. Luckily the accident wasn't too far from our house. Papa went and picked them up and dropped them off at our house. William, Keith, and Courtney were huge help packing up our house!

The next day the ward showed up to help us load the moving van!

nap time but everything is packed! We found a few pillows and a blanket
to try to make him comfortable.

Christmas Caroling and cookie sharing!

Wrestle Mania!! Dad is at the bottom of the pile :)

I needed to work and Hendrix was getting into EVERYTHING! I set up a movie
on the laptop and Hendrix hunkered down (for a little bit at least!) and was just adorable!

I wanted to keep an eye on Louie while I cleaned. My sweet little burrito baby.

These pups are the sweetest. Otis loves to cuddle with Atticus!

Nana got Hendrix a little potty! He just thought it was fun.
Hopefully it's not too long before he starts to use it!

Christmas Eve! Papa is practicing his song for the little program and
Hendrix and the pups wanted to help.

I love when we get these frosty mornings!

Christmas Dinner! Hendrix thought he was hilarious eating his roll with his fork.

Seeing how we measure up!

Went back to the house to finish packing and cleaning. This is the final goodbye!
This has been the perfect starter home for us. I will miss it so much and I am so grateful
that we built so many memories and started raising our family here. On to the next adventure!!

Sort of figuring this thing out.

Loves playing with Mom's hair! It's mostly sweet......

Hendrix decided to drink his yogurt rather than wait for a spoon...

Sleepy babies

Helping a sister out!

Hendrix fell and hit the coffee table and gave himself a black eye! (Also, shortly after, jumped off the couch thinking that one of the dogs would catch him.....they didn't....)

Reading some blogs with Nana

Happy New Years Eve! We celebrated at the Carlson's (and called midnight waaay early. It was midnight somewhere!!)

First hunt of 2016!

Dylan and Shem had SUCH a blast hunting on the 1st. They got 3 geese (and a handful of ducks) and had to walk so far to get back to the truck. Dylan vest was bulging with the massive birds!

Atticus is such an awesome retriever. These birds are almost his size and aren't always dead when he gets to them! He doesn't hesitate though!

Sunday morning movie while Dad studies his lesson and Mom feeds Louie

Dad, Nana, and Papa all left this morning for work and Hendrix was so sad to be at home. He went and found his jacket and put it on all by himself! He was so proud of himself and wore it this way until nap time....

We were getting a little stir crazy in the house so we decided we needed to play in the snow! When bundled up and went out with Lou in tow this time. Hendrix loved throwing the snow up and watching it fall and eating it. Lou wasn't amused at all.

Keith got engaged!! I'm so excited to have another sister. I love Courtney so much
already. It has been so fun getting to know here and I'm so pleased that Keith found
such a wonderful girl! (I realize I don't have a picture of her....I'll get one!)

Showing more interest in the potty (but still hasn't actually used it yet.....)

Hendrix was WELL overdue for a hair cut. We didn't want to buzz it because we like it a little longer but didn't want to take him to the salon this time so Dylan tried his hand at cutting it......we ended up buzzing it hah
