October- Part 2

38 weeks along!

I have such an awesome sister in law! Carly came over bearing gifts!
She brought me a pumpkin spice hot cocoa (I'm totally one of THOSE girls, pumpkin EVERYTHING!!)
an adorable Thanksgiving onesie for baby,
and everything for a pedicure! I sat on the couch and watched What Happens In Vegas
while Carly soaked, scrubbed, massaged, moisturized my feet then added Jamberrys to
my big toes and painted the rest. I seriously felt so pampered!

Haertlings moved to Boise and we spent as much time as we could
with them before they left. Hendrix sure loves his buddy Troy!

Weather is FINALLY getting colder, so Dylan got his warmer hunting gear out.
He put on this balaclava and I thought it would scare Hendrix but he thought it was
awesome and wanted a turn. He wore it for a really long time!

On a random (and cold!) day Hendrix for some reason would not keep
his shirt on! I finally gave up and let him run around topless. I think he was
missing his Janeway cousins! (who live in Hawaii and never wear shirts :)

A final hurrah! Chocolate Lava Cake and Harry Potter to send off the Haertlings

Both boys (Troy and Hendrix) needed a nap so Troy took the crib and
Hendrix took our bed. He looked so sweet sleeping in there and loved
being in the bed. I think he is definitely ready to have a real bed, but we will
wait until Arizona so it's one less thing to move

Great-Grandpa Aldrich tells the best stories! I am so grateful that we have such a great relationship with Glenda's parents. They are some of the best people I've ever met and I love spending time with them!

Dylan was trying to rest and Hendrix wanted to be with him so bad. He finally just grabbed
his water, climbed up and cuddled up with Dylan, and sat so quiet so Dylan could rest but
they could still be together. Hendrix loves his Dad so much.

We were watching a movie one evening and Dylan got up to go to the bathroom.
Hendrix followed him and I didn't think too much of it. About 10 minutes later I realized they never came
back and it was really quiet. I paused the movie and looked down the hall. The lights were off and the bedroom
door was closed so I peaked my head in and saw these sleepingest boys!! It was so incredibly adorable. I turned on
the flash to get a picture and apparently they weren't quiet asleep yet because Hendrix started laughing and pulled the blanket up over his face.

Holding Atticus's paw through a scary part of Harry Potter. Hendrix LOVES Atticus so much.
Atticus mostly just tolerates Hendrix......

Video chatting with Aunt Kim in Hawaii. He kept kissing her on the phone and Kimberly
sent me this screen shot she took after we hung up.

More Harry Potter (we are having a marathon that is extra long.....bc we don't watch an entire movie in one sitting...)
Also look at that awesome oak rocker! Once I get the pictures off Dylan's phone I'm going to post about it :)

Dylan and Atticus went hunting and I got this picture. I seriously love this dog so much.

If you remember from my last post I had that ultrasound and the doctor thought baby might come early! Well 2 days after that blog post my contractions really picked up and got consistent. Tuesday evening I was up to 8 contractions an hour and felt like things were happening. My mom had already talked about coming early so she could be well rested (and not show up at the hospital after a rushed 6 hour drive) and decided she would leave after teaching Seminary Wednesday morning and come. Around 11pm on Tuesday I decided I should probably rest in case I was at the hospital the next day. I wasn't sure I'd actually be able to fall asleep, but as soon as I laid down I was out. I woke up with NOTHING the next day and Mom showed up to no progress on baby end. Hendrix was sure happy to see her though! He just tucked himself right in her lap and hasn't left since. Anyway, I had some contractions since then but nothing consistent or strong. We started the hurry up and wait game! My mom was able to bring work with her. She got a sub for seminary but didn't have to take time off of her other job!

Hendrix helping Grandma work

Thursday Carly and Glenda threw me a baby "sprinkle" (a small shower ;)
Carly was sick so didn't make it but Glenda came out still! It was really low key but fun.
I was having contractions so I was uncomfortable but still enjoyed it!
Can you find Hendrix in this picture? (He did that to himself btw)

Contractions had picked up Thursday night but Friday morning there wasn't much again. We decided to go for a walk and enjoy the fall weather. Seriously I absolutely love this time of year. Fall is FINALLY here!! Our short walk turned into around 2.5 miles. I was hoping it would help this girl come, but it didn't really do anything. It was good to get out and stretch and breath the crisp air though! Hendrix was so adorable (he picked out which hat he wanted to wear) but every time we tried to get a picture he would scowl at us. It was so funny! This kid cracks me up.

Hendrix and Grandma cuddling when we got home.
It was chilly and they were helping each other stay warm.
Seriously since Grandma has been here it's like I don't even exist!

Anyway, It's November 2 (my due date is November 6) and still no baby. I think I just got my hopes up because the doctor thought she would come early! But we are just hanging in here. I'm feeling great and don't really feel 9 months pregnant, with the exception of my ribs! It feels like there is a balloon inside my ribcage that has been expanding and my ribs feel so stretched out......anyway, my mom can stay until Sunday, so hopefully we see baby girl by then!
