September

I've just come to terms with the fact that I will never be caught up, so you get photo dumps month to month! (I promise I'll do better in October!)

I'm not making breakfast fast enough (the morning after getting home from Hawaii)

Atticus is back!! We missed him!
Hendrix was helping Dad mow the lawn and found the plums that were falling off our tree. He proceeded to eat as many as he could (don't worry, we were pulling pits out for him!) We've never really done anything with the plums before (besides eat them. They are greengage plums and so delicious!) and decided to try this year! So Dad grabbed a ladder and we got to work!

I decided to try to make jelly but didn't feel like I needed to follow the canning book (I'm not sure why....) and thought, hey! I bet I could just juice these and add pectin! The result was.....weird. It tastes okay, but it's just weird. I'll leave it at that.

wearing Dad's boots!

Eating pumpkin cookies at Aunt Carly's!

Look at that sad face! I don't even remember why he is crying (I think I took the drumsticks away from him)
I bought a couple boxes of tomatoes to can diced tomatoes (the EASIEST thing to can, and so much tastier than store bought). I noticed a couple bites taken out of some.....

Just taking a short break from playing so hard

Cousin Max! These boys love playing together.

Hendrix loves to see himself on camera.

It's that time of year! We went to a little farm in Union with the
Carlson's and got some delicious beets, leeks, and sugar pumpkins!
I got around 26 cups of pumpkin puree out of these beauties.
(by the time I'm posting this picture we've already used about 8 cups.
I do love my pumpkin!)

"This is my scarf now!"

Helping Mom in the Kitchen

Wearing Dad's bow tie to church today!

Dylan finally gets to go out hunting!

Hendrix and I stayed home and played outside. We had a good day!
In the mean time, Dad sent us these gorgeous pictures from bow hunting.
I was a little jealous.

Hendrix laughing at Dad's pirate voice

This was Hendrix's morning look....

The pirate book...again. It's so much better when Dad reads it!
Hendrix just walks away when I try to read it in my pirate voice.....

Hendrix LOVES to play the uke. He hold it right and strums and sings.
It's so sweet. He is getting one for Christmas, I'm not sure I can wait
that long to give it to him though! He isn't allowed to use Dad's unsupervised,
and sometimes gets really upset when I wont get it down for him.

Watching Women's Conference with Mom. He was singing along with the choir!

Super Moon rise over the mountains

Mr. Hunter bringing home the (grouse) bacon. It was so yummy!!
