Time for a Change
Soo......I didn't get into my major. I was a little beat up when I first heard the news, but what's done is done! Dylan and I weren't sure what we should do. I don't have any classes I can take without being accepted and we feel like we are wasting time just waiting until I can re-apply. We decided that maybe a move was in store. I always try to stay optimistic and keep my options open but it was a little difficult to wrap my mind around this. The head of the Graphic Design apartment at BYU is an internationally known designer. He is one of the best in the business across the globe and I was really looking forward to studying under him. We are settled here. I am already attending BYU. And the tuition isn't too hefty. But after much thought and consideration, and much support from our families, we decided a move is probably the best thing right now. Dylan and I are applying at Portland State University and Oregon State University. Both schools have really good programs for Dylan [pre-optometry] and their design programs aren't too shabby either. I am currently taking just one class at BYU and it's a block class. I'll be done February 25th and by then we should have heard back from the schools by then and have made our decision. Hopefully in the not to distant future we will find our selves either in Portland or Corvallis. It's an exciting yet slightly terrifying time in our lives but it is something we are both very much looking forward to :)

Wow, good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm sad to see you leave, but you gotta do what is best for your little family now. That's what marriage is a all about. A move will be a growing and great experience for you. Plus you can be near Kimber!
ReplyDeleteAnd I forgot...Dylan's family!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh bummer!! I really hate when things don't go like you want them to. But I've come to realize that it's only because God has something even better lined up for you when you shake things up and change plans! GOOD LUCK with everything :)
ReplyDeleteMy Grandparents live in Corvallis, actually! OSU is great! I bet you'll get in. Have fun with your block class!
What about the alma mater of so many of your relatives? EOU! It's a good school and really close to your Isaacson family.
