August

September is closing down and I'm just barely getting to August! As usual, here is a quick photo dump. I swear I'm trying to do better about staying on top of this!

Dylan doing the tear down on the roof. We it needed to be replaced before we
listed the house for sale. It was so difficult! We ended up hiring someone to
finish the tear down and they did it so much faster.

taking a break

Hendrix helped me paint all the trim around the windows. Thank goodness
our house is brick and we didn't have to paint everything!

To Hendrix, EVERYTHING is a phone.

He likes to undo all the tape.....

We went to Wallowa Lake for an Isaacson family reunion. It was so fun to see all the cousins and Aunts and Uncles. Dylan's cousins Kim and Jason bred their german shorthair and had one puppy left. Tom and Glenda weren't planning on getting another dog, but one look at that sweet face and they couldn't say no! Hendrix LOVED holding him and would get upset when we would take Otis away.

Hendrix's first time meeting Otis!

Once again, can't keep this boy out of the water! The lake was surprisingly warm though,
so we changed into swimming clothes and spent a lot of time splashing :)

Wont leave the sleeping puppies alone! Aggie, Roe, and Otis.

Atticus is so incredibly patient with Hendo. Doesn't even mind
being a step stool.

Brushing up on hunting dog training so we can help Nana & Papa
train Otis

Trying to climb the wall

Helped himself into the chair and books!

We wanted to spruce up the house before putting it on the market. We re-roofed, painted trim and the garage door, and did some landscaping. Honestly it wasn't too much work (besides the roof!) and didn't cost too much. Both of us were kicking ourselves for not doing this sooner! The house looks so much better, and neither of us thought it looked bad in the first place.

Tom and Glenda went to Mexico for their anniversary so we puppy sat.
Otis laid at my feet the entire time I was painting the bathroom.

Atticus wasn't too keen on Otis at first but eventually warmed up to him. Now they are best buds! Even though Otis is getting bigger, he still loves to sit on top of Atticus!

Both dogs insisting they lay at my feet while I work

All done! New roof, new paint, new garden.

Loves to tuck himself under my baby belly

Dylan got a new fly fishing rod so we went to Morgan Lake to try it out. It wasn't a good time of day to catch fish but we needed to try anyway! It is always so gorgeous when we go up there.

For our anniversary I got Dylan binoculars. He really wanted this chest harness
for them so they don't bounce around or get tangled up. I call it his branoculars.

Hanging out at Great Grandma & Grandpa's! We feel so blessed to
live so close and be a part of their lives.

Drawing Dad an anniversary card. He uses his left and right hands interchangeably!

Dylan got me this for our anniversary. I LOVE this game!

Playing Splendor while Hendo and the pups sleep.
Can you spot both dogs?

Carly babysat Hendrix so Dylan and I could go out to dinner.
My son is sort of adorable.

Keith got home from his mission (Washington D.C.) so we went home for his homecoming! He hadn't met Hendrix yet. They did some great bonding!

Passed out on the floor in his cousin's room

Hendrix LOVES the trampoline. And I love that
his cousins take such good care of him!
Of course there was crabbing! We went up to Camano Island just for a day to help my parents in their new shop. Easily pulled our limit of crab that day!

Hendrix loves to cuddle with Aunt Natalie. I didn't get much snuggles from him with so much family around! Worth it though :)

Hendrix got food all over the floor so I was cleaning it up. I got up to get something
and turned around to find Hendo had taken over. Sweet boy helping his fat momma out.

Hendrix loves the swings. He was hunched over laughing so hard. His favorite is still the slides though! Only he likes walking up more than sliding down, and isn't quite coordinated yet to figure it out on his own.

Seriously look at that face!

Hendo's fort. No adults allowed (seriously, it's funny his reaction when Dyl or I get in there with him)
I had given him an applesauce pouch and he went in his fire truck to eat it, then when it was empty
put the trash out the door so I could take care of it. Seriously he is adorable. It's incredible that
Dylan and I can get anything done.

Massive herd of elk just outside of La Grande. It was an awful fire season this year
and herds got pushed out of the mountains.

The fires were terrible but they sure made for some pretty skies.
Of course the camera doesn't even come close to what things really
looked like, but I wanted to document anyway.

Hendrix LOVES to wrap himself up. In blankets, scarves, towels, laundry......

More snacks in the fire truck! And, had to document Hendrix letting me in his fort!

Hendrix tucked in Atticus.....

Celebrated Maxwell's birthday! Happy 1 year King Max!

Max got some pretty cool toys for his birthday. The kids had a blast! And Carly made some
incredible pumpkin cupcakes that kick started my yearly pumpkin splurge.....I've been consuming
pumpkin goods ever since.
